About the Program

The BBA (Culinary Arts) at DPGU School for Hospitality and Tourism is a three-year program designed to integrate culinary excellence with modern business and hospitality practices. The program prepares students for leadership roles as chefs, entrepreneurs, and hospitality professionals, emphasizing hands-on learning, creativity, and operational expertise. Students develop strong competencies in culinary techniques, food production, kitchen operations, nutrition, and hospitality management, while nurturing problem-solving, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence.

Spanning six semesters on campus with professional internships and OJT, the curriculum is industry-aligned and developed in collaboration with renowned chefs and hospitality experts, ensuring relevance to current and emerging trends.

Choose your Specialisation Track

Students must choose one specialisation track in Semester 5, and continue studying the same specialisation track in Semesters 6 and 7 to complete the Minor specialisation.

Idea to Startup

This course encourages students to develop entrepreneurial thinking. Students design innovative business ideas such as cafés, food start-ups, travel services, boutique hotels, or event ventures, and refine them with guidance from faculty and industry mentors. The course covers start-up planning, hospitality-focused innovation, basic financial strategy, and risk management. Each student develops a practical business concept with the potential to grow into a sustainable hospitality or tourism venture.

Digital Marketing Strategies

Digital Brand Building

Students learn how hotels, resorts, restaurants, and travel brands build their online presence. They work on simple digital campaigns, create social media content, and understand guest behavior and preferences. The course covers social media marketing, content creation, online reviews, and global hospitality branding, with hands-on projects that reflect real-life hotel and tourism marketing practices.

Financial Performance Skills

Students learn revenue & pricing management used in hotels and hospitality businesses. They understand income, costs, budgeting, and performance analysis and data analytics.

Excellence on Table

Students learn the essentials of food and beverage service in hotels and restaurants. The course covers service styles, menu knowledge, guest interaction, hygiene, and service etiquette. Students also learn how to manage F&B operations, improve guest satisfaction, and maintain quality service standards through practical, industry-focused activities.
